Barback – Brunch & Evening Shifts AvailableNational Mechanics Bar & Restaurant, Old City, Philadelphia, 22 S. 3rd St., 19106National Mechanics is a popular and bustling bar and restaurant located in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia. Known for our welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, deaft beer selections and craft cocktails. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our diverse clientele.We are seeking dedicated and hard-working barbacks to join our team. We have openings for both brunch and evening shifts. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our bar and supporting our bartenders in providing top-notch service.Responsibilities: - Assist bartenders with stocking and replenishing bar supplies (ice, glassware, garnishes, etc.)- Ensure bar areas are clean and organized at all times- Clear and clean tables in the bar area, maintaining cleanliness standards- Help with inventory management, including restocking shelves and fridges- Support the bar team during busy periods by running food and drinks- Handle glassware washing and basic prep work as needed- Follow all health and safety guidelinesRequirements: - Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is a plus but not required; we’re willing to train the right person- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude- Availability to work weekends and eveningsWhat We Offer: - Competitive hourly wage plus tips- Opportunity to learn and grow within the hospitality industry- A friendly and supportive team environmentIf you are a team player who enjoys working in a lively, customer-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you!
